Electronic ticket is a modern way of purchasing a ticket. It had been mandatory in 2008 by IATA organization to develop the airline industry and make the process of traveling easier and more efficient. E-ticket contains some personal information and the details of the trip e.g. time of departure and arrival. More over the e-ticket contain the booking reference which is the most important in the ticket. This number is made out of 6 unique characters which represent the passenger, airline and the flight. Every customer will have a different booking reference which they show in the check in counter to issue the boarding pass for the flight. It has some advantages and disadvantages .Advantages come due to the fast process of e-tickets which is much more easy and modern way of checking in. On the other hand disadvantages come from online mistakes and network errors which effect the reputation of e-ticket and booking online. I think it will have a bright future in the airline industry, as it also can be used to self service check in which will make the process of traveling, much faster and easier. And most air travels and airlines will be glad to use it.

However,some people dont like to buy online because they prefer to book the tickets from travel agency to make sure they booked the ticket personaly.

In the end I want to express my opinion about e-ticketing. I think it’s useful. All people must have knowledge about it because it’s easy and absolutely better. I think in the future will continue without any assistance from an agency.

Also their are disadvantages for booking online like you can’t booking without Internet and lot of people can’t use a computer.

In my opinion , I think e- ticketing its so easy and I will buy my ticket on my self next time.

Phone number, email address. Next, choose the flight available options. Do not forget your credit card because you want credit card details. Finally, print out your ticket.
The best check-in is self-check –in because it is the easier steps.
1-Enter your booking reference.
2-Enter the number of bags.
3-print your booking pass.
The good thing is it not only available at the airport but it is available in hotels and metro station.
